The Caucasians are over 80% of the population of this country. This is the most important group here.

This term was originally used to describe people from Caucasia, a region between the Black and Caspian Seas in Eurasia. Over time however it has evolved to imply something altogether different; people of "white" or lighter skin pigmentation. In this sense, caucasian is a fairly useless category as it is a relative term meaning altogether different things to different people. However the term "white" is also problematic, for in a large sense it is also both historically and culturally relative. For example, in the U.S. both Irish and Italian immigrants were considered non-white earlier in the 20th century. Thus, it is important for people to recognize that such terms are purely social constructs and completely unscientific. They are merely categories of convenience that will likely one day change again whenever they appear as unfashionable to the academic and cultural intelligencia of this nation.

Caucasians are the major ethnic/cultural group in America. The country was established by them , geared mainly towards their having individual freedoms while establishing their men as the primary beneficiaries of the laws and rewards to be had in the country. By being in power and keeping that power Caucasians have been able to branch into every aspect of American life while creating obstacles and rules which both made it exclusive for them or illegal for any outside group to join in. Mainly because of this Caucasians have shaped much of what is American today, having a dominant influence in virtually every aspect of American Life and making contributions to the country and the world that are too broad and numerous to list. Caucasians have kept their lofty status while allowing certain ethnic group into the country, mainly as cheap labor : Black slaves, European immigrants, Chinese immigrants in the West, Mexican and South American immigrants now, so that they may help develop the country and reap more profits for the established Caucasian majority. Despite their major and almost total influence at the upper levels of American society, there is also a broad poor and underclass Caucasian population that many are embarassed to refer to. This section accounts for a large portion of the groups on public assistance ie; welfare, and they also participate in their fare share of low wage low end jobs. As a group they would have you believe , consciously or subconsciously, that they are the Gold Standard of America. I would'nt go quite that far in describing them that way because they're really just the dominant group in the country.

The gold standard in American society. The Los Angeles Lakers or New York Yankees of ethnic groups. The top-rung of the socio/economic/political ladder. White skin is the prerequisite to most higher political offices. Value of Caucasian background will diminish during the 21st century, however, with demographic shifts and the onset of politcal correctness and multi-culturalism.
