WSU has the best fans in the Pac-10 for several reasons. 1-They endure enormous swings in terms of wins and losses, which can really get a fans hopes shattered or be a great surprise. The point is there is not a lot of consistency with the football team and this is, clearly, a football school. 2-The weather in Pullman is by far the harshest in the conference and fans routinely bare sub-freezing temperatures in November. Its really not that impressive to see drunk frat boys in Tempe going without their shirts to show us how tough they are in the "weather". 3-The Coug,Shakers and the Field House all serve copious amounts of beer prior to and during the games and for fans to pull themselves away from such festive atmospheres is a credit to their school spirit. (I have been told The Coug serves more beer per sq./ft. of business space than any bar west of the Mississippi R.) 4-WSU grads have also been at or near the top in the nation in terms of charitable donations to public universities. This is extremely impressive when you consider the size of the enrollment (about 17,000) compared to other universities that have 40,000+. Cougs give lots of $$$. 5-Why else would anyone want to go to Pullman?

WSU fans are some of the most fiercly loyal fans in the pac-10! Tons of alumni, alumni kids go to Wazzu too. I've been to many pac-10 enemy stadiums, and other best fans are Oregon State. Oregon on the other hand, has arrogant and nasty fans, even bordering on criminal! Love Cougar Football Saturdays in Pullman, I can't imagine doing anything more fun in the fall! Cougs Rule!!!! Wazzu BABY !!!!!

Best fans in the nation. Wazzu is a small college with a small athletic program, yet their teams are always competitive and exciting. Win or lose, the fans are there, in the sun, the cold, the snow. There are no fans like Coug fans.

The worst fans not only in the conference but the country! Throwing bottles onto the field at Husky players (some filled with a bodily fluid, to put it politely), all the while complaining about how horrible Husky fans are. Basketball arena is 90 percent empty, even when UCLA or Arizona is in town. Getting upset whenever someone describes a team choking in a close game as Cougin it. (Maybe it wouldnt be called that if your team wasnt famous for it!) Probably spurned on by the worst public-address announcer in the country (just one example- referring to Oregons Joey Harrington as Joey Heatherton). Lame turnout for the Rose Bowl against Oklahoma. I feel sorry for the rest of the Pac-Ten (or should it be Pac Nine) for having to put up with such a lame member.
