Man all those people who commented on Villeneava should line up and apologize cause he can play-Head coach of Boston Celtics Doc Rivers. Seriously do not judge a player simply based on what he has done. Use what you have in front of your eyes. He is big and athletic I havent seen a guy match his size and athleticism(exception Channing Frye and Sean May). I think he is has allstar potential. 2007 allstar watch out.

Charlie Villanueva was supposed to be a lottery pick two years ago before going to UConn, and although he has great athletic potential, he showed me nothing in his 2 years as a husky to prove that he has developed his game. I think he will be way overmatched by more refined NBA big men and struggle immensely.

I think it's a decent pick. When Villanueva wants to play, he's dominant. A 6'9 athlete with a nice touch. The problem is that there are too many days that he doesn't bring it. He's still young enough to turn it around however.

More PROJECT than prospect. The Raptors already have a good center in Chris Bosh. Maybe they want to make him a Duncanesque big forward. Don't think it will pan out.
