Indispensible. First place I go to when I can't access RIA to see if work is being done on the site. Second place I now go to is:

All-in-one place to visit to check up on the latest and greatest and the only place we can go to try new things we've learned on Deadwood....

I'm ambivalent.  I don't check it more than once or twice a week, unless there's an entertaining little squabble in progress.

It does provide some insight on the vision that Lawrence and company have for their endeavor, which can be valuable. 

But if it didn't exist, I don't think I'd miss it much.

There's nothing wrong with the BLOG itself, even though some use it as a forum to show their displeasure for RIA and it's members.

I say keep the blog. It's a very good way to keep up on everything that's happening on RIA.

Keep it. Lawrence does a good job of keeping us imformed on RIA related stuff. It also comes in handy as a forum for members (and former members) to vent about anything that might be bothering them. Less rules there too ;)

Good way to keep on top of happenings. And it doesn't detract in any way from the main site.

Why do we have it?

Very good idea; glad to see that RIA jumped on the "blog" bandwagon. At a time of high growth for RIA, the blog keeps us informed of new developments. Highlighting interesting new weblists or items that are timely allows for a sense of continuity, something that's needed for some of us who take a leave of absence from the site every once in a while.

Keep it. It's kind of a regularly-updated newsletter of sorts. UPDATE: I'm beginning to like it more and more. It's a great place to start to look up highlights and stuff.

I'm kinda indifferent to it.

Not needed. . .but I guess I'm in the minority. . .

Keep it! It's very useful source of info for RIA.

(5=Keep It) I haven't been around much lately (finally got around to my vacation!) and have found the RIA Blog to be rather useful and informative in catching me up to speed. Not only that, but the blog also helps to answer quite a few questions that arise after being on here for a while. Personally, I like the blog and think it to be a rather clever idea in organizing what's happening on RIA...
