The most disgusting -ism on the list...and I haven't had the time to read all 457 of them...but I can guarantee that feminism should be last...and that isn't opinion, it is fact.

So, like Molfan, I'm not one of those bra burning types, but I think that having more of the rights that we now have, is something that shouldn't be looked down upon. I don't think that anyone has the right to feel, act, or think they are superior to any other person, no matter the situation. I don't believe that it's anyone's right to judge someone, especially for things that cannot be helped. Stark: Your comment amused me btw. You'd think as confident with his manhood, as Mike *thinks* he is; he'd have no problem with the word or concept. I think he's intimidated, must be all those "evil" girls! :) Poor Mike...

As a male supremacist and sexist, the word feminism makes me puke!

I would not say i am a bra burning rah rah female. I do believe us gals deserve the same rights for employment, and everything else. thank goodness for those ladies such as the suffragettes and other women groups who have tried to make things fair at least. I am not saying we deserve more just as much that's all.

The Biblical myth of Eve and the Apple has sure given Women a bad rap...Adam didn't have to listen to her,did he? What about other negative Biblical stereotypes,such as Jezebel and Salome? The Men who wrote the Bible were seemingly out to sabotage the credibility of Females.They are portrayed as mostly good for producing Sons. The Bible,however-is just one thin slice of Mythos- In other,older Cultures,Women were portrayed as more powerful and often even Wise and Benevolent. I point to ancient Myths since they have a profound effect on the beliefs,customs and philosophies still present in todays society.We should all know that WOMEN are no worse or better than Men-collectively.Everyone is,after all,a unique individual.However,this is persistantly denied by many people-who prefer to believe in generalizations and stereotypes rather than take the time and courage to sort out reality for themselves.Therefore we have Racism,Sexism,Nationalism etc.-as a reaction to such -isms,we have other -isms,such as FEMINISM: Women and Men who love and respect them,fighting for Equality and fair treatment of Women.
