Another example of Quintons' ability to turn what would normally be mundane coversational movie filler into a film highlight. Though in my opinion, Tarantino's done better, as I thought there was some dull moments. But overall a great movie.

The DVD has a lot of great extras if you like the behind the scenes stuff. Interviews with almost everybody in the movie, and deleted scenes that include an alternate angle on the cutting off the ear scene.

I can't judge the merits of the DVD, as I haven't broken down and bought it yet, although I inevitably will. The problem is that when this came out on VCR tape, I watched it incessantly and at this point don't feel any compelling urge to go out and replace the much-watched VCR tape with a new, expensive DVD. But, like I said, I'm sure I will before too long, as the tape is probably ready to shred itself to pieces.
