Bloated and cumbersome, terrible interface, security problems, hard to use. If you don't require a calendar, Outlook Express is faster and easier to use, though I would also not recommend that application.

Nice piece of software, complete solution for the corporate email environment, including calendar, multiple address books, tasks, notes, and folders. Easy to be synchronized with mobile devices. The only thing I do not like is handling multiple acounts. But, if you need the single account configuration, I would say that this is the best agent.

I've used Outlook in the past and I'm currently using Outlook Express. If you want a simple email client, Outlook Express is good enough and HTML is automatically turned on, which is a plus because I missed that in Outlook. If you want more, choose Outlook because it has many interesting features.

The distinction needs to be made between Outlook and Outlook express. The latter is what comes packaged with most PCs and it is not fully-functional compared to regular Outlook it seems to me. That being said, I've had no stability problems with Express on seven PCs (four current users in my household) and the functionality is probably fine for the light to average user. Decent.

Ok for managing email for work or school, but not so great as a personal email client compared to other choices out there. Doesn't make sharing or viewing photos especially easy, and no particularly great spam-filtering or security features.

This product gets three stars because it's simple to find and use, since it comes on virtually every computer. However, my GF and I were having so many problems with it, and such bizarre ones, that I eventually went out and found another E-mail client to do the same job. We were experiencing crashes, and she was having to attempt to download her mail three or four times before she could get all of it, which resulted in having multiple copies of every message she received. Since she receives a lot of e-mail, this was unacceptable. I downloaded Mozilla Thunderbird, and I find it to be a much more stable program. All of the problems that we had been having with OE have since gone away, and we haven't had a crash or a lockup since. If you use OE, you should consider downloading and trying Thunderbird, for security reasons if nothing else.
