08/07/2005 | I don't do this, but some people may do this to save time because sometimes, the most extreme opinions are on extreme ratings. I tend to read either short comments or comments written by certain users or users that I like.

07/11/2005 | LOL, i am starting to do this on the extremely contriversal subjects.....but Irishgit is very right, the best reviews usually are the 4's amd the 2's, because those ones are usually accompanied with a but, however, or despite, which make the review more interesting to read.

07/11/2005 | I never base my interest upon the star rating ; sometimes I am confused as to which way is it supposed to go; 5 as best, or 1 as best? That is about the only time I look at other's star ratings.

07/09/2005 | I acutally don't look at or notice much the star rating until after I skim over the text. If it catches my eye, I'll read the whole thing.
