The Usual Suspects has entered the lexicon of North American speech, and contains many nuances of meaning, depending on the context and the speaker.

 | FranksWildYears (48) 03/27/2007 | That Casablanca is packed with drama and political action belies the fact that there is so much witty dialogue. Renault, the French captain of the police force, just watched Rick shoot the German Major Strasser dead and then dispatches his officers to round up the usual suspects. It is ironically hilarious. And at the same time it is so subtly effective at communicating his immediate acceptance that he will become a part of the conspiracy to support Rick's work through the underground. There is another line when Rick is demanding that Renault sign the letters of transit and he reminds him that his pistol is pointed right at Renault's heart. "That is my least vulnerable spot", is Renault's reply.
