Was this the first, throw-away when used, one use, disposable weapon? Unique concept at the time and very effective, too. But it would get a great from me even if less effective just for sheer brilliance and originality of the concept. Can you imagine the guts it took to use the thing? Range with accuracy was probably pretty bad. So, you'd have to be right on top of a huge, loud, menacing enemy armored vehicle to use it effectively. Then again, too close and you'd snuff it.

The Panzerfaust60,Panzerfaust100,Panzerfaust120 were the best tank killing inf weapons of there time, they had there problems early up with miss firing! but could take out any tank close up made in WW2.

This was a really excellent shaped charge anti-tank weapon. (A shaped charge is a shell that focuses the great majority of its detonation at one spot. This causes tremendous heat and the blast can eat through armor and do its damage.) The panzerfaust was ubiquitious and feared on both the Eastern and Western Front.

4-5 varients of this weapon. Simple, cheap, and easy to use, the Panzerfaust was the ultimate urban weapon of WW2. I remember this weapon most from pictures I have of a group of Volksstrum (more then likely Hiterjudend) soldiers, no more then 10, on bikes with two Panzerfausts attached to the front of their bikes each. They were deadly against any Soviet tank that tried to enter the city. And, that was Germany's mechanized infantry in Berlin in 1945.
