well, it doesn't have to be like that per say ..so I don't think it's quite the worse job out there....

i dont like the choices for reviews they give on this one. it isnt the worst job ever its just extremely stressful!

not bad if it is your choice. it was mine. after baby number two was born we decided I would quit my job and stay home to take care of kids. do errands. cook, laundry etc. no pay for this job. but has not been bad. If someone was forced to stay home when they wanted a career, or if they were treated like crap could see why they would be miserable. for me I have been fine.

It depends, some find it more rewarding to be home with the children and taking care of their family because it's more hands-on than not being home. I could see it getting a bit boring when all the kids are in school, but I don't think it's a bad thing for a woman to stay home if she so chooses...same with a stay-at-home dad.

I wish I was able to stay home and raise my kids instead of sending them to a sitter all day. It's painful to know that my babies are seeing seeking someone else's care for 9 hours a day. You truly lose something when you don't have that time with your children. Where I live the living expenses are so high and the taxes are so impossible there is no way I couldn't work. I consider it a luxury to be home. The ease of knowing you are taken care of and are not a slave to the alarm clock is worth whatever bordeom that could arrive. The only time I have time to do something with my family is on the weekends - and I'm usually swamped with chores and bills. If you are a housewife count your blessings.

I can see that as being a bad job in someone's eyes because it doesn't pay or it gets boring day after day but don't criticize it because some actually enjoy it.

I've never been a housewive, and don't plan to make the changes necessary to become one. I would imagine that it has it's ups and downs, but a job that is ultimately rewarding when done well. I'll certainly agree that it's the most unappreciated.

The description is inaccurate of ALL housewives. I enjoy being a housewife. Yes I end up cleaning a majority of the time, but I don't mind. A woman should be able to be relaxed while taking care of the children. If a woman is happy and relaxed, she will most likely make good, loving desicions for her family. If a woman is home taking care of the house and being relaxed, the man can come home to a relaxed environment after working hard all day. I am happy after all those years of work, work, work, that I can finally have a relaxing relationship with my family. One thing I do believe is that some men consider it nothing that housewives can't understand what goes on at work, etc. But that is not true. We do understand, but one part about being a housewife is you are always at home, you don't get to have a break or vacation days, etc. You are always the housewife. I don't believe it's the worst job, far from it. But I also do know it's the most underrated.
