skizero makes top #50 list 2

So, old Skizero made the top 50 well whoop-di-do! The mere fact that this has happened and in a VERY short time - should convince everyone - FINALLY - that this ranking of the raters list is basically meaningless. It has more to do with how long youve been posting and how many posts you have managed to eek out than anything else. When I first started posting I was probably one of the most prolific posters on a day to day basis at the time. Not to mention that there werent as many regular posters either. This went on at a steady pace for quite awhile and then, as time went by, people like Irishgit who can obviously post rings around me - showed up and got to work. This is not to diminish the high quality of his efforts, but simply to say that it CAN happen even if you dont always concern yourself with quality. Yes, I do think a buddy system of sorts has developed. But that has a fairly high turnover from what Ive noticed and probably only accounts for a small portion of the actual scores. Its annoying that human nature eventually leads people to seek out membership in safe little cliques but, after awhile, I suppose its unavoidable. Still, there are many factors at work here that go beyond this and if the buddy system does have an effect it will fade as the heat from arguments fade or people move on to other Internet hangouts. The more serious contributor the one who will stick with the program and keep posting will end up being the name you see and usually the least concerned with where you see it.
