He definitely deserves it. He has stood out for me from the beginning, whether I agree or not, he has my respect.

I rank it up there with Magellan went to the store, Castlebee cleaned out her garage, and PBeaver player Uno with his auntie. I have no problem with EO, who is cool, but this topic ranks with RIA Platoon as one of the lamest ever.

Not a big deal for RIA, though I'd be lying if I said I didn't like the notoriety/attention. But, like everyone else, I'm just a guy passing through here, and I like to think I make it a better place while I'm here. I like the exchange of viewpoints and I (truthfully) like the disagreements. They tend to reinforce my ideas, but not always. There have been a number of thoughtful, intelligent liberals who have brought up issues or facts that have made me re-think an issue or two, although frankly, none recently. And, sure Planetary Gear (Pat Riot), ed's got me right where he wants me.

A class act, and a great reviewer, especially when commenting on all things politcal. His comments are very well thought out, well wriiten and researched, and shows a passion and knowledge of what he's commenting about. Unless we're talking boxing, or Mexican food, I wouldn't want to debate him. One of the best things going on, here on RIA.

Not the biggest event in RIA, but quite an achievement. I would consider it a reward for intelligence. Love the knock down drag outs between him and Ed. Although I got Ed slightly ahead on my scorecard, lol. Smart guy and a Reagan Democrat ..... not there is anything wrong with that.

Eschew is not only my favorite reviewer on RIA but one of the most adroit minds and skilled writers to post consistently here throughout the year. He is also the only person from RIA community I've taken the time to meet in person- and I must say he is just an absolutely wonderful guy- a family man with four very bright, astute and warm children... not exactly a pro at the white water rapids but he sure can put down the cheeseburges and brews- which makes him a-ok in my book. His reviews are always thought provoking and logically sound. I get a huge chuckle when it's readily apparent that he's thoroughly beaten a combative lib into submission and they resort to infantile name calling: HEY! ESCHEW YOU'RE GAY! LOL Sometimes I think he must get bored of trashing the naifs who float in and out of our community.. but alas, it's impossible to find an equal match when you have facts and superior intellect on your side.
