Cabaret 4

Hard to believe Lisa Minnelli could carry a big musical like Cabaret. Well she does it with the help of a great cast and well written screenplay. The story takes place as the old Germany slides into decadence and struggles with the worldwide depression of the 1930's.  An excellent and imaginative musical that paints an interesting picture of what Germany may have been like as the old system weakened due to severe economic trouble and the Nazi party was on the move and gaining power. Not a film for children. Plenty of adult situations in this one.
