Actually, most all of the pizza as we know it is American. The Italians do have a pizza, but it's really not the same thing. The deep dish stuff doesn't do it for me. I prefer the NY thin crust with the crunchy membrane.

Nothin' taste better then a tradition "deep dish" Chicago style pepperoni pizza cooked to perfection!!

I love pizza period, and the thought of giving any pizza less than a five doesn't set right with me, however, I'm rating this against New York style pizza, with the thin charred crust, which I absolutely love. I'm giving it a 4.5, only by comparison. Throw in a ice cold beer, and I'll give it a complete five.
