Great with nutritional yeast sprinkled onto the sandwich.

Heretical to be sure, but cannot abide the two as an indistinct sensory experience. Maybe it's the purist in me.

PB&J sandwiches were around when I was a kid. Yet, if you can believe it, Smucker's got Patent number 6,004,596 issued to them in 1999 for the PB&J sandwich, and they recently cited it in order to try to shut down a company that was mass-marketing pre-made sandwiches. PB&J is one of those things that are part of the American cultural inheritance, dubious as it sometimes is. It goes right to the heart of what it means to be American, for better or worse. Patenting it was ludicrous!

I move that we deport anyone who is against peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! It's gotta be un-American!

It's almost unAmerican not to like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Strawberry is my favorite and I prefer it with a glass of cold milk.

There are other sandwiches I prefer, but once in a while a peanut butter and jelly sandwich hits the spot.

Grape and Crunch peanut butter please.

I take mine so sloppy that I have to eat them fast before they collapse and I only take them with grape jelly.

I like peanut butter, and I like jelly, but the two of them together make me gag.

I love these sandwiches and even get cravings for them from time to time. If you're out of everything PB&J will get you through.

they work but aren't great

How many times as a college kid did I resort to PB&J for sustenance, nourishment, and energy. It's tough to beat for a quick meal - and you don't have to worry too much about refrigeration, product spoilage, opening cans, etc., when you make a PB&J sandwich. The combination tastes remarkably good, even on wheat bread. Also, peanut butter is supposed to be really nutritious (at least I like to think that claims to that effect are credible - I sure believe them!).
