Only had the real thing once - with peppers! Can't wait to get to Philadelphia again. Haven't tasted anything like it elsewhere.

The greatest food...ever! And having several in Philadelphia, I know the good ones from the imitations.

If you are on a low fat diet, then stick to tofu. Otherwise, dig into this great American treat! This makes me hungry just to think of the Philly Cheese Steak.

In credibly high in fat!! None the less the sauted onion, peppers, steak and swiss cheese mix together PERFECTLY!! Very satisfying

Maybe I'm just not as picky as some people, but I've never had a sandwich that was referred to as a Philly cheesesteak that was less than a five star sandwich. Sliced steak, green peppers and onions smothered in cheese is always a good combination. I really don't care if it's authentic or not, if it's made in Philadelphia or in some cafeteria in the middle of nowhere, if it tastes good, it tastes good, and that's it.

If you have to call it a Philly Cheesesteak then you are not in philly nor are you getting served anything remotely close to what you would get in Philadelphia where it is called a Cheesesteak no friggin philly just cheesesteak. Philly cheesesteak is for the out of state tourist traps trying to cash in on a particular cuisine that can only be had in Philadelphia and the surrounding burbs. If you want the real thing and you are in Philadelphia go to Tony Luke's, Jim's, Genos, Chink's, Campo's Market, and Delessandro's then thank me later!

It's nice to have a good Philly cheese steak sandwich once in a while. There is a really big rivalry in South Phillly between Geno's Steaks and Pat's Steaks, which are like fifty yards apart. I've eaten only at Geno's (once) because the neighborhood is a pain to park in. That said, I've also had better Philly cheesesteaks at other places in Pennsylvania. Overall, it's a somewhat overrated sandwich, even though I enjoy one now and then.
