OK, I find myself with each day much less willing to get into such petty political arguments, but recently, Republicans starting asking, in response to Cheney's quail hunting accident, "what would you rather do, go on a drive with a drunk Ted Kennedy or go duck hunting with Dick Cheney?" How about neither as an answer?? The question of who looks worse doesn't benefit neither Republicans or Democrats. Well, I guess the GOP thinks that voter apathy tends to help them!!!

Is he screwing up America? I guess that depends on what you mean by screwing up. Is he a poor excuse for a Kennedy politician? Yes, in my estimation. He spouts a lot of divisive rhetoric, which I believe he knows he has to do if he wants attentions (which he so obviously craves). He may be one of the darlings of the liberal left, which of course they are entitled to, as does any group. That he largely defines the more extreme left wingers is pretty much a reflection of how screwed up that part of America is. I will grant that many liberals truly want better things for this country, for which I applaud them, but I think that the likes of Teddy Kennedy do more harm than good in promoting the best interests of this country.

Ted's the Liberal voice of the Senate. It's a position that needs to be filled and his family history makes him ideal for it. He also reminds us of that family history and for a lot of people, his family and what they did and tried to accomplish in Politics is important.

It's good to still see a Kennedy in politics. Aside from their personal screwups they've done a great job in American politics and that's something that can't be taken away from them. Where have all the cowboys gone? The era of great political leaders seems to have ended...at least for now.

Kennedy men do not screw up America. . .but they are very dangerous to (1) women and (2) passengers of any kind in any form of vehicular transportation.

The poster child for term limits. The only thing bigger than this guy's ego is that giant head of his.

I think Ted Kennedy is a waste of space - but I don't think he's screwing up America. He's just not that effective as a human being. He has done a really bang up job of screwing himself up though.
