He's a very good humourist and effective political satirist, but I hope the Democrats have a better choice lined up for the senate seat in Minnesota.

I don't like him at all,people like him give credibility to the stereotype "whiny liberal"-but I don't think he's harming anyone but progressives.

How is he hurting America? Have we become sheep that bad? He's got a radio show for Christ's sake! If a radio show host can influence people so bad that it hurts America, then we are worse off than I thought. We need to think for ourselves and READ. I agree with most things Franken says, but he is not capable of influenceing me. Therefore, it doesn't hurt America if people thought like me. What are we puppets? I enjoy Howard Stern, but I'd beat him down if he talked like that in front of my Mom, ya know? THINK FOR YOURSELVES. I don't check the media's opinion to develop a POV. So, if you're smart like me, NO radio show host is capable of hurting America. We're supposed to be smarter than that. This is not 1994 Rwanda. Agree with him or not, it should not hurt or help America. Facts are facts. No one man should be capable of hurting America with words. If he speaks the truth, it can't be bad. If he doesn't, who's dumb enough to let him form their opinion? However, I fear many are that dumb. I'll take some flack for this, but conservative Christians are the root of it all! Let's be honest. The more they get after people, the more we become divided. DIRECTLY, it's this administration. INDIRECTLY, it's Christianity! In other words, organized religion is too blame for ALL OF THIS. I know, 'terrorism', freedom', safety' and all that bologna, but at the deep root of it all is organized religion. I shouldn't single out Christianity (although it's the main culprit) because most organized religion share some blame. It will not save us during the Apocalypse....................it's the reason for the Apocalypse! All of us are to blame. We are gnawing our own lives away. Why can't we all just be good secular people and have a good time? Religion is a curse on mankind................obviously. I'd like to see Jesus get us out of this one. So, I'll show some LOGIC and shut my mouth as far as that goes. )))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))UPDATE: Louie, as far as your jab on our school that has produced some of the great minds of American history. - Buddy, there is not a thing in this world you can say to convince me a school that promotes open minds, reading, anti-censorship, tolerance, diversity, etc is hurting America. Remember, not all of us in this world neccessarily have the same idea of morals as conservative Christians. Just because you guys blab about what is right and wrong does not mean you're not full of manure. I'll decide what's of value and moral and what's not for myself. Thank God there are Universities out there like Carolina that encourage us to do so.

Screwing up the rating for Air America, maybe, but not screwing up America. He's just a has-been actor and comedian who was never that funny to begin with, who decided he wanted to be a political commentator and revisionist historian. If it was all part of his plan that hardly anybody listned, then I guess he's been successful as something.

I can understand giving this item a five star rating if you hate things like; reading, tolerance, culture, differing opinions, and gay people. Or maybe your just into good ol' fashioned republican 'hero worshipping', in which case, you so - called Christians might want to look at the First Commandment again to see what it says about that kind of thing ...

A propagandaist and slanderer. I could stand his comments if they were credible.

He's annoying and relentless in his campaign to bore America on Air America but he doesn't deserve anymore credit than that. For those who can stay awake long enough to listen to ten minutes of his radio show, all you'll hear is Franken making idiotic jokes that only he and his sidekick find funny (can't remember her name).

Al Franken is good for America. Liberals have a nasty habit of disguising themselves and hiding their true political ideology, which is almost always rejected by the American people. Franken's liberal tirades expose the folly of liberalism. Transparency is a good thing. Unfortunately, with the ratings Airhead America has been drawing, I don't think they're going to be around much longer.

An Al Franken is good for America. In fact it's very American that we have freedom of Speech and allow people with a wide variety of veiwpoints to express themselves. Franken counters Rush Limbaugh and all the other conservative radio personalities out there. That's a good thing.
