I don't think she's well known enough to be messing America up, but she is a very sad individual with really warped ideas. Archie Bunker, move over!

I have yet to hear anything more than controversial spin meant exclusively to push her book sales. While I may respect her right to say such stuff, I don't agree with any of it.
TeresaG 10/31/2007
LOVE Ann! Straight shooter ~ but, she won't let the competiton get a word in edgewise. UNFORTUNATELY for her ~ she is a woman ~ so people don't give her the respect she so rightiously deserves!!!!!!!!! LOVE you ANN!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing wrong with the truth!
jaywilton 10/30/2007
I'm a Jew who digs Ann Coulter and Lenny Bruce;accusations of her as a Jew-hater are bs.Over the past few weeks, she's been on Dennis Prager and Michael Medved's radio shows-both of whom are religious Jews-as opposed to the liberal moron Donny Deutch(?)who basically tried to sucker punch her-and I think he interviewed her live on a Saturday(the Jewish Sabbath).
X Factor Z 10/29/2007
Most certainly, because she is an ignorant stupid person who appeals to that type as well.
FranksWildYear s 10/29/2007
She fulfills the need to give bankers someone they can fantasize about but generally is just another talking head looking for attention.
scarletfeather 12/02/2005
Tiresome and annoying.
carol_legreid 12/02/2005
A bimbo in disguise. She has no clue of what the world's all about. She has no right to tell America to die for her when she had never even gone to front line and fought like others in the military. Just another bitch hiding behind the media.
nataila 08/24/2005
She can be very funny and sometimes makes good points. But some, no, MOST of what she says is hard to take seriously. There are lots of bad Republicans; there are no good Democrats? Come on. It is that kind of narrow-mindedness, not Ann Coulter herself, that is screwing up America.
Randyman 07/28/2005
Screwing up America? How so? Because she has a belief system differant than your own. Whatever happened to free speech? There are so many more people in this country that are screwing up America. And why call her a Republican skank? When you argue your point from such a skewed perspective, you lose crediblity with me.
bluetarbaby 07/27/2005
Again, this woman is not capable of screwing up an empire. If she is, then I feel sorry for us. Talk about a one track mind. This woman's sole purpose in life is attempting to make people think she's right for egotistical reasons. Republican, Democrat, she doesn't care............ ..........she wants people to think she's right. That way, look at me, I'm Ann Coulter and I brought up a good point. She might as well be on this site for a living. The day this woman influences people so bad that it hurts an empire, is the day I blow my head off. Go sale a book to a christian ,bitch. Nobody cares. And trust me, as soon as you open your mouth, everybody smells it...................if you catch my drift. This woman does not care about Republicans or Democrats or America or Iraq, she cares about appearing smart and cash. If you wanna burn some books, I got an idea! )))))))))))))))))))))))))UPDATE: check new Franken rating if you want your fortune told. Let's stop being in denial people. We all know the root of all this.

With all the people out there who are truly screwing up America, and screwing us the citizens--the Enron's, Global Crossing, etc, we're here debating which celebrities and commentators are the worst. Whether its Coulter, Limbaugh, Hannity, or Franken, none of these people have enough power to do anyone harm. They might anger someone of a different belief, but its a free society and everyone has a right to express their opinion, that's that. As for Coulter, I really don't see anything to get worked up over. She's an entertainer, although in terms of intelligence she's above the Hannities and the Limbaughs. And she pretty good looking to boot... The point is, if we want to make a diagnosis of our natural ills, lets start looking at the problem and what's causing it. Let's try not to use a scapegoat.
Solenoid DH 07/26/2005
Ann Coulter should not be on this list. She is a smart, funny, and cheerful attorney, columnist, and commentator. I can see where people of liberal persuasion would disagree vigorously with her, but what's with the hatred? Even John F. Kennedy (considered quite liberal in his day) counted among his best friends some conservative politicians. As Barry Goldwater used to say of JFK, he could be a vigorous opponent who fought for a cause but there was never anything personal about it. If you don't like what she says, go ahead and disagree with her - but at least admit that she's very personable.
Mr.Political 07/26/2005
I see we're really throwing on the BS today, and I say that only because it is so obvious that Ann Coulter is simply the conservative equivalent of Bill Maher or Al Franken. And I see that the saying, were it not for double standards, liberals wouldn't have any standards at all seems to be accurate judging by the general contempt the left has for Coulter. They claim to be the champion of woman's rights and expression but the minute one of them refuses to toe the line they drag her name through the mud. On the other hand I suppose it doesn't speak well for feminists that a conservative woman could actually succeed without the help of NARAL or the ACLU. Do I sound like a lemming or an agenda driven right winger? Yeah. Do I give a damn? No.

Kudos to Heykate on this one. I believe it's a forlorn hope to find civility running rampant on RIA (some raters, both left and right, seem to know how to throw brickbats, but can't offer much in the way of constructive criticism, so I guess we have to consider the source), but I do agree with the overall thrust of Heykate's post. Personally, I find Ann Coulter hugely entertaining most of the time, although at times I disagree with some of her more outrageous statements. She certainly is passionate in her convictions (which some RIA raters who slam her also are, but fail to see the similarity). I would say to those who slam Coulter or dismiss her out of hand, pick up a copy of How to Talk to a Liberal (get it from the library - no sense spending money on buying the book, even if yu like her) and read the chapter on her thoughts on the Confederate flag, then try to convince yourself that she doesn't have her facts in order, or that she can't write a damn fine article, and for Pete's sake, don't jump to the conclusion that I am some kind of southern racist just because I mentioned the Confederate flag. The piece is one of the best, most moving articles I have read in a long time, and truthfully it's the only part of the book that still sticks in my mind. Sure, Coulter could use a little more polish at times, she sometimes looks a little nervous and jittery on screen, and she does make some extreme statements at times, but let's balance that against some of the people she is arguing or debating against, or who she is having discussions with. Tell me that they aren't baiting, or taking extrememe positions of their own when there is a dialogue going on with AC. She's quick-witted, articulate, convinced, and knowledgeable. I'd bet that if she switched sides (like more than a few liberals in the media have) and began to use exactly the same attack mode against conservatives as she does against liberals, she'd become the instant darling of the liberal left who suddenly would find all of her vices transformed into incomparable virtues.
numbah16tdhaha 07/25/2005
Where did my comment go? Aw, shucks, I must have been kicked to the curb again for my mouth. Anywho, I think one conservative author can't make too big a dent.
CastleBee 07/25/2005
Terminally PO'd people wear thin very fast. This one is stuck in bitch mode. I guess it beats working for a living.
magellan 07/24/2005
Nah, she's not screwing up anything up. She's an entertainer, and intellectually irrelevant. She's just trying to get paid. I sort of get a kick out of the complaints about the bias of the list...bias on RateItAll? How scandalous! BTW, have you guys seen any of say, Louie's lists? Did anyone check out the list maker's favorite author? For all you guys throwing out words like slanted liberal and irresponsible and not tolerant enough, you may want to do your research first :)
samjung23 07/20/2005
More clever and relevant than most people would like to admit. Most of what she says is satire designed to infuriate the most unlikeable of PC twits. Unfortunately, most people that don't live in urban centers with many liberals won't get her.
CanadaSucks 07/20/2005
She's a joke. . .she's not screwing up anything because she's only collecting $ from a few lemmings.
computergal 07/20/2005
If people don't take this wannabe Republican skank seriously her impact on American culture will be minor. She's the flavor of the moment with her 'shocking' comments. She just wants attention. Honey keep trying because you are a joke.
edt4 07/20/2005
Yeah, she's funny (funny-looking too)...but full of...wit (Sarcastic or otherwise)? How about full of s**t? Even funnier are the people who take her drivel seriously. Actually, that's more sad than funny.
PlanetaryGear 07/19/2005
Actually I think she's a democratic operative being paid to make repubs look bad with her blatant idiocy. But hey, that's just one mans opinion.
Flick01 07/19/2005
Liberals hide behind the facade of tongue in cheek when one of their own makes extreme statements. As is usually the case, they are not tolerant enough to afford Ann Coulter the same consideration and therefore they take everything that she says as Republican doctrine presented in a serious vein.
EschewObfuscat ion 07/19/2005
You can read the slanted garbage to the left of this page, or you can go to Townhall.com and read a few of her editorials for yourself. But the list-maker would prefer that you simply believe his inaccurate blurb and decide that Ann is simply offensive. To some, she is. Nearly every liberal in the US agrees. My advice is to giver her a try. She uses her sacastic wit to characterize liberals, as a group, as people who believe anything their leaders tell them, no matter how it might defy logic and experience. She has written some spectacular editorials, my youngest daughter (19) is currently reading, How to Talk to a Liberal, so I'll know soon just how funny it is. Then, perhaps I'll read it. But, for a list maker on RIA to post such erroneous information and half-truths as what spartacus has here, is irresponsible. It'd be a shame if everyone took this slanted left-winger's word for it.
spartacus007 07/19/2005
Fortunatly the only people that listen to her already agree.
