Gordon B. Hinckley 1

Haha! This is probably one of the worst columns on the entire site. Obviously the composer of this piece was offended by a Sunday School teacher and wanted to take it out on the entire church by slandering the name of their leader. He was just buried yesterday and has done great work for members and non-members of the LDS faith. $2.8 million condo? HAHA! Guess how much he has been paid for his FULL TIME church service over the last 50 years.... Oh yeah, NOTHING! Thanks for wasting all of our time with this one!

(Rating of the discussion point is subzero!)

Apparently, the writer of this description needs to get his or facts straight! Any good writer will have references to figures from a credible source. Until then, your claims are nonsense!

I would disagree with this writer's statements. I would put Gordon B. Hinckley on the top 10 best Americans! He teaches truth! You may not like it, but most people not aligned with the will of God take the truth hard anyway. What this nation needs more of, is more men and women like Gordon B. Hinckely. As Thomas Jefferson one said, 'The consitution will only work if you have a moral people.'
Teaching morality and truth is what this nation needs. If we as people do not repent, then God will destroy this nation.

People may slander this good man, but they will realize their follies in this lifetime or the next. As a member of the LDS faith, I know he is a prophet of God, but like prophets of olden times most people reject these prophets. After all, most of Israel rejected Jesus Christ when he lived on the earth. Who would expect anything better?

For the objective readers, I would recommend you get a copy of the Book of Mormon and read it for yourself. Pray to God with humiltiy and honesty and you will know this book is the word of God like the bible. That is my witness.

This description of President Hinckley is like Mother Teresa being described as a Britney Spears--it may be an opinion about Mother Teresa, but far from being honest and accurate.

Gordon B. Hinckly doesn't even know what his faith teaches. Everytime he's asked on a topic, like where do we go when we die? he coyly says, I don't know. or I don't know that we emphasise that. Don't believe me? Read a transcript of his interview with Larry King. He's a bowl of cold oatmeal.

Eh, compared to past Mormon leaders he's done a lot of good and mainstreamed the church to a more tolerant, Christ-like view than they had in the past.
