I cooked scrambled eggs (made of low-cholesterol egg substitute, not real eggs) with bell pepper and minced meat, in microwaveable paper bowls. Came out pretty good and saved me at least 10 minutes of operating a pan over the stove, cleaning the pan and the stove, and deactivating the fire alarm (it goes off as soon as it senses the faintest steam). Best results were obtained with power set to 50% and the timer set to 15 minutes. Perfect amount of time to do your morning routine, too. Agreed, real scrambled eggs in a frying pan are much better, but haven't tried real eggs in the microwave.

Well, Dandy, if you want to try real eggs in a micro, just add a table spoon of real butter to three egs and mix well. In order to get the eggs fluffy, you have to keep opening the door and stirring them till they're done. Still not as good as a pan, but, the only way I know to get them to taste okay.

This doesn't work too well. Especially scrambled eggs -- they have the consistency of rubber!

My sister tried this on a dare from me. The door blew open and little egg bits flew all over. Yes, eggs explode.

I just don't see the point in ruining a perfectly good egg by cooking it in the microwave. It just takes a minute to bring out a pan, melt a little butter and cook it on the stove.

Made poached eggs once in a microwave. They were a little better than eating hockey pucks, but not by much.
