people need to get off their self-righteous high horse over a logo, one which I might add, is not found objectionable by all Native Americans. That being said, the Indians had an incredible run in 2005 only to collapse in 2006. However, it should be noted that the Indians also have the unbelievable Tigers and the World Champion White Sox in their division. Teams with comparable records are nowhere near as many games out as the Indians already are in 2006. Trading Wickman to Atlanta was good as he will retire anyways so may as well get something in return while you can. Broussard to Seattle was good, too. He had an AL league leading 7 errors at the time of the trade. Aaron Boone will be gone next season with Marte manning the hot corner. Obviously we need a closer and Fausto Carmona needs to get his confidence back and just return to being a stud setup guy. Cliff Lee just signed a longterm deal. I say this season was a temporary setback. Dolan had an obvious brainfreeze by having his GM let go of Millwood and signing a loser like Jason Johnson. I say the Tribe rebounds in 2007 and lets not forget during this dismal season that Hafner hit an MLB record setting FIVE GRAND SLAMS BEFORE THE ALL STAR BREAK. This from a player NOT selected as an All Star. Talk about being screwed. The Wahoos Rebound in 2007. Keep the faith!

The team has grown tremendously since flirting with contention last year and Cliff Lee will become a household name someday, going 15-4 thus far.

The loudest, most annoying announcers in the game, and a dumb guy pounding drums in the stands make me believe that all the talent in the world couldn't reverse the mediocrity that is the Indians. Oh, their logo is stupid looking too.

Are the Yankees an insult to all white people who live north of the Mason-Dixon line?

They're mediocre at best. They have a nice offense with Coco Crisp, Victor Martinez and Travis Hafner. But the pitching must develop or they're in deep s***. Adding Kevin Milwood to the pitching mix was a fine addition.

The ratings for baseball teams on this site should be updated season-by-season: it makes no sense to have ratings and comments regarding teams in the 2001 season to be considered in the here-and-now, because teams and their relative strengths change from year to year. I mean, Thome and Alomar and Colon are long gone, folks, so these earlier posts and votes aren't germane. The 2003 Indians are a total disaster, but don't blame the players: blame the ownership and management for trading off and letting go a talented corps of players who made this franchise most competitive. This franchise needs a new front office and the owners have to be reminded where their checkbook is...

I hate the Cleveland Indians. I am a Tiger fan, yes, but I just hate them. That stupid drummer guy annoys the living crap out of me whenever I go to their games. Plus, Larry Dolan and Cablevision are awful owners.

The talent has gone away. Visquel is really the only player left worth rooting for. Too many young players, although you have to like Coco Crisp.

Oh, yes. Despite the goofy logo, my beloved Indians are still one of the classiest teams in baseball. Jim Thome is one of the greatest hitters I have ever had the pleasure of watching. He's currently the number-one all-time Indian for HRs and at-bats, if I'm not mistaken. But if I am. . .so what! I love my Indians and ONE of these days I might witness a World Series victory parade down Euclid Avenue!

A really obnoxious team that would really be great if they had some pitching besides Colon. They have a powerful offense, but a horendous pitching staff. That is exactly why they can make it to the playoffs nearly every year, but pitching and defense win against the league's elite.

My favorite team!!! Whether they win it all or not, their success is the best thing that has happened to Cleveland in a long time.

Cleveland was my team for the longest time and I still love them they have never gotten what they work their entire lives for and I feel bad for them I hate the Yankees and when they made the deal to trade David Justice to the Yanks so that they would have more money for Manny. Look where it got you, now you have not Manny and no Justice plus Sandy is gone and Richie. Keep on working hard Cleveland I still believe that you have it in you somewhere. You still have the best lead-off man in baseball in Loften and the beat double play duo Visquel and Robbie.

All of the Tribe fans that used to hate the Yankees because of the way they built their teams need to take a look at what they were really complaining about all of these years. The Indians are as 'guilty' now as the yankees were in the past of buying a good team. The Indians have proven that even all of the money cannot buy chemistry, or a championship ring for that matter.

They try and try but cannot win the big one. The fans that used to mock Yankee fans for 'buying' great teams no longer have anything to talk about since they spend the smae amount of $$ and still have nothing to show for it in over 50 years.
