Say what you will, but when I was a kid what we might call a ghost spoke to me one time. I know, it sounds weird, but the only other good explanation would be a joke from my brothers and they would have owned up to something that funny by now. It was a male voice, I think, and spoke only my name in a low, kinda growling voice that was a little bit sinister if you ask me. Far from being scared and believing that my brothers were behind the whole thing, I went looking for the source of the voice and found jack and s***. I checked everyone and they were asleep. I checked out all the electronics and they were off. So, I guess I'll call it a ghost for now. I won't rule out angels or demons either, but something odd is indeed out there and it talked to me for whatever reason...

To tell the truth, it;'s the evil angels in disguise. Believe it. But nothing can bypass the God's holy revelation of himself. There are no dead people returning to life, and be in ghosts shapes, but let's not be blindfolded by satan. Last night the rain rained, and there was thunder, but it wasn't God,..(Greek philosophy).. who was angry, but it's already there naturally., and that's why I believe in Science to investigate and reveal everything in every step of of the way.But now, leave alone these eveil spirits to be taken care of by God, who thunder at them, and quiet them for eternity.

Update:Believe in the real world of Science, and God only..ONLY God and Science. God hates these things to do with necromancy, and enthrillments in the self-destructional abnromality, or in other creatures. Actually I do percieve those who do this, but they are prepared to an eternal dooms, and even now, may be they may be striken by lightnings spiritually, in the daytime, if they really make it realistic, but all-in-all such spirits which finds excitement in human sufferings are the viceroys of the devil himself. If I become one of the governors of certain state, or a ruler, such people gotta get a safe refuge for them to hide, because what is going to come with me, is really disasterous to stand. Realism always is strong, and no one can joke aropund with it. Back in where I came from, many magicians or super naturalists were practically persecuted, just in the daylight like this, and they couldn't help themselves from the chain of firing squad team. A prove that, human being alone by hispurity of strenght, or piower is absolutely powerful, and the devil fear him most. A Human Being is alone powerful, and can conquer the universe from any principals, unless of course his own creator may come and subdue him, then we called that, power to be GOD, who cannot be defeated for millions of ages...FOREVER.

The dead can not and do not return to this earth unless they are risen from death by God himself. They do not roam around the earth. I do believe there are good and bad spirits as others have mentioned; demonic beings and angels from Heaven. Demonic beings can return in the likeness of a love one to take your eyes off of God and make you focus your energies on them. They appear to be good when their only intent is to deceive.

I do believe in Ghosts, and other strange beings. I was in Utah visiting my grandparents. This happened a few years ago. And let me tell you, that Utah is no City, and is kinda in the middle of no where. the tv was off, i only had 1 light on. it was night time, no light outside, but the moon, but the blinds were closed. I uh, was having a hard time sleeping. and i was just deep in thought. I was sleeping in the living room, and i saw the counter from the Kitchen. All of a sudden i saw this small dog-like white thing float very fast away and it vanished behind the microwave. from what i could see, it looked like it had dog ears, and a small head. it looked very real to me, i could have been seeing things. and maybe i did see it. because my grandma bred dogs, and i know a few puppies have died of birth in that house. But what would a ghost of a puppy doing there, i have no answer. i could be wrong, i could be right... what do u think, do u believe me?

Don't know, but doubt it if you're looking for a real answer.

However, I do think that there may be the ghost of some 1870 Klansman haunting RIA with the' Best Racist' list. Ghost or not- he's certainly got a sheet on.

Spirits are energy rather than human-look-alikes that many of us seem to believe. This energy that we call spirits can be positive or negative or as many people refer to them good and evil. I do believe in spirits. I don't quite interested seeing them, but it would be intersting to a point to at least feel them.

Many a scientist has wasted time trying to see castle ghosts, wraiths and other spirits. The tricky devils are always elusive when objective observors are on the premises with equipment that can record their presence. On the other hand, the sneaky rascals abound when believers are there with no objective observers. That is truly a conundrum!

When I was three years old, I was playing outside on two occassions when I came running into the house to tell my mother that I had seen a "blue lady." We lived just a few blocks from a restaraunt known as The Distillery. I have no memory of the incidents, and my mother chalked it up to 3 year old imagination. Years later, my mother learned of a local legend.

Give it 3 stars simply because the experience has to leave me with an open mind.

i have never had any ghostly or spirit encounters that i know of. i would not dismiss the possibility. after seeing and hearing tons of cases of encounters. not all of those people are crazy. I cannot explain the unknown.Personally,i think that there are possibilities of ghosts, and spirits who are around.

Assuming they wear a white, flowing a gown and you see your life flash before eyes...I've seen at least one.

You see what you want to see. You believe what you want to believe. You hear what you want to hear. The bottom line is that if your mind has already predetermined a belief in ghosts, witchcraft and the like then you could very will begin to create circumstance in your mind that set up an environment for a supernatural interaction.

Not surprisingly I agree with GoneAway and Heykate yes, there are spirits and no, they are NOT our departed loved ones. I fully admit that I have been drawn to the subject of the supernatural and especially ghosts - since I was very young and I know that sometimes, if it werent for my faith pulling me back (at times by a very slim thread), I could easily see myself drifting off in that direction. There have been times when the idea of the ghosts of loved ones being near seemed very plausible; even, comforting. When my mother died a few years ago I developed a kind of obsession with exactly what the afterlife was like. I never lost my faith in Christ, but I wondered about some of the things I had been taught. Just poking my nose into some of these areas in ways I told myself were harmless curiosity seemed to start strange rumblings. I soon realized that what seemed like harmless research to me was ultimately drawing me away from a focus on God. Then one night I had a very lucid dream that I saw an apparition of my mother. She looked like she did when I was about 7 years old. I started to talk to her and suddenly she morphed into this ugly demonic creature with a deep gravely voice. I know, it sounds like the result of midnight pizza and the power of suggestion. But I know in my heart of hearts that it was a warning. Satan is a deceiver and he will not hesitate to kick you while you are down. I know Ill see my mother again one day - just not in the same old familiar places.

My feelings on ghosts are like the feelings of Agnostics on God. I don't doubt their existance, and I'm not an advocate of their existance. I lean a little more to the side that they do exist though. I agree with sundizmo.

I was working in the mall, and I was walking down a back corridor towards a door that led to the main mall area. All of a sudden, I felt a tickle deep down in my ear and a voice that said watch out I looked around and I didn't see anyone, while I tried to scratch that tickle in my ear. In the split second it took me to turn to see if anyone was there, the door came crashing open with one of the trash guy's and his trash cart. If I hadn't stopped, I most likely would have got my hand injured. When I told my friends about it, they were telling me about this guy who died in the mall when it was getting built, and I remembered reading about it in the paper. They all told me little things that happened to them, too. As we were talking about it, I was voicing my denial of such things as ghosts. I kept refusing, saying there must be another answer for all these strange happenings. Just then, the lights began flashing on and off in the Wendy's, the store we were standing near and the cover to the circuit box went flying off. It may have been a surge of electricity for some freak reason, but they never found out what the problem was, and never had that problem ever again. All of this could be denied to death, but I am certain that the whisper in my ear was indeed a ghost.

I don't necessarily believe in the white, wispy, or Casper-type ghosts, but I do believe that somehow or other, on rare occasions, there is some kind of contact between departed soulsand those of us here on earth. When I grew up as a kid, I heard lots of ghost stories, or stories of the supernatural, most of which I now think were total fabrications or were bogus, but I did have one aunt who had this remarkable ability to predict deaths in the family. What would happen was that my great-aunt Carmela would dream that a departed aunt of hers would come to her in a dream, all dressed in white, sit on her bed, and say that someone was going to die soon. Sometimes she would name the person, and sometimes not, but inevitable within a couple of days, someone in the family would pass away. Some of the deaths were totally unexpected (i.e., the people were in the full bloom of health when Carmela had the dream), and others were more predictable. Anyway, any time Aunt Carmela had a dream, the whole family held its collective breath until someone died. It was scary.

I believe there is SOMETHING there. But is it a ghost? I dunno. Not enough proof. There have been a LOT of things that I've seen, and that my husband has experienced, that I can not explain. Maybe someday it will be explained, and it won't be supernatural anymore.
