Nope- don't believe in it, any more than I believe in the Yeti or Big-foot. Then again, I can't say as I'd want to take a late-night swim in Lochness with the full moon shining down either.

Any beastie that requires the corroboration of kilt wearing oatmeal savages on the outside of a bottle of Glenlivet is a rather dubious proposition.

If you have been in the Loch Ness country, you shall discover a poor area. Not much grows there except heather and grass. The lake itself has very little life. I think some salmon and a few seals might come into it. It has a reasonable number of fish, I suppose.

Where would such a large monster get its nourishment? Where would a whole flotilla of such monsters find enough to eat? Maybe some of the mopes who are hanging around the lake waiting to see Nessie get taken. I guessed they must not be missed.

I'm giving it two stars because there are actually other legends around the world with similar critters described. Is it possible that some variety of pleisaurus survived the death of the dinosaurs? Extremely unlikely, especially in fresh water.

There could very well be some unknown creature in that lake but the evidence does point to the contrary. And while it is true we do not know of all species in exsistence one must ask how the supposed Loch Ness monster is not in great enough population to have been discovered elsewhere. Even more peculiar is how technology has enabled scientists to uncover a new realm of creatures who many believe were far more difficult to track than this large beast.

I agree; if it does exist, then it certainly isn't in the realm of the supernatural.

I don't think this is very supernatural. There is a version of nessie right here in the US, on lake Champlian on the NY/VT border. Do you really think we have discovered EVERY species of animal on the planet? I don't doubt that there are large, unidentified species of animals in almost every body of water, including Lochness.
