The servers come around with pork and chicken much more than they come around with shrimp and red meats (perhaps a way to cut on costs?) . Desserts are good but overpriced. I personally don't think you are getting what your money is worth.

The buffet is awesome - but beware! don't fill up on cheese and veggies. When dining at a Churrascaria, veterans know that the good stuff comes later... at Espetus, the Picanha is especially fantastic, and all the other meats were high quality as well. The only thing I didn't like were the ribs, which were a little dry. Make sure to get a caipirinha as well... served authentically strong here.

 | jamari (0) 03/10/2007 | It was my first time coming here and it will be my last. Upon arrival I thought this would be a wonderful experience. But I was wrong. I was having a good time with one of my friends, and then a cockroach walking on our table rudely interrupted it. I stared at it with awe then went to look at my friend. The look on her face said everything. She was disgusted and horrified to see such a thing promenading across the table. I'm surprised we did not leave then and there. But out of the kindness in our hearts we decided not to run around screaming and ruining your business. Instead we decided to ask someone to brutally murder the damn thing. After the kind man assisted us in the murder, we had no clue what to do. We thought should we eat should we go. In the end we decided to stay. But we were none the less still in shock of what had occurred. We have eaten at many places were some would never think to step foot in. Places in the mission, Chinatown, and little holes in the wall and never has such a crude thing happened. The laughter that came from us was not of joy but of not knowing what to do. To think that anyone would be ok after having a cockroach parade across the table is absurd. So being us kind people we attempted to continue eating. To top this whole evening off, I found a piece of hair on my food. I calmly talked to one of the employees, who then brought me a new plate. The man then went to talk to someone who appeared to be the manager. Then after that, the entire staff completely and rudely ignored us. Only one busboy checked on us. I feel so disgusted that this restaurant even seemed like a good idea. I mean for heavens sake you think at least the manager would have come a counseled us through this difficult time. We would have at least wanted an apology from management. I feel so sorry for having been so considerate, which is why I write this now. I know now for future reference that next time something like this happens I won't be so kind hearted.
And taking from what happened tonight I will NEVER come back again.

 | martinibuster (1) 08/23/2004 | I heartily recommend San Francisco Brazilian restaurant Espetus Churrascaria. The buffet was delicious and hearty- no skimping on ingredients. for instance, the paella had no shortage of big chunks of scallops, sausage, and shrimp. I agree with the previous review that it's good to go easy on the buffet. Perhaps a round of veggies and a small taste of the various items is the best strategy.
I enjoyed the wine, too. My tip is to go for a bottle. At $30 for most bottles, it's a bargain.
The relaxed atmosphere makes it a perfect San Francisco Restaurant to spend an evening with friends or family. The food is tasty, with something for every palate, whether it is adventurous or conventional- this restaurant has something for everyone.
