Although, I liked the 'Road Warrior' better, 'Mad Max' was a good version of apocalyptic Australia using late 1970's materials.

Probally the best in the series, outside of The Road Warrior.

Brutal little low budget film, full of quirks and gems. Much the best of the series, although that's seldom recognized these days.

Boy, Austraila looks good after the war/apocalypse/end-of-Western-Civilization. . .all kidding aside, Mad Max is a great exploitation/cult movie. A western revenge tale with cars instead of horses. A brutal, exciting, film with a gritty low-budget feel. . .check out Mel Gibson before he became infatuated with the mirror. A must-see for cult movie fans.
