Excellent piece of work. I expect that it will get negative reviews from people who've never seen it, because of its age and being a silent movie, but watch closely.

It invents many of the standards of sci-fi cinema, and does them better than they are usually done in more modern and far bigger budget films. Good story too.

an amazing movie considering when it was made.I have this movie on dvd and its visions are far beyond what you would expect from the era it was made.
