Mount Washington, New Hampshire– highest peak in northeastern United States 4

At just over 6,000 feet in elevation Mt. Washington has a reputation for having some of the worlds worst weather. The highest wind ever recorded on land was back in the 1930's at over 200 mph. A few options to get to the summit. Either hike, drive up the auto road or take the Cog Railroad. Definately a mountain to reckon with.
