would not say she is screwing up America. just messing up herself. she has some talent but think she is over rated and gets way too much attention. she seems like a very high maitenance gal. with some issues.

She is a living proof that you really don't need talent or brains to be seen or heard through the mass medias. Anybody at a tabloid or tv station that chooses to give her any importance must be high! We could not care less...

She wasn't the first to have an eating disorder and a drug habit. I'd say America is screwing her up worse than she is screwing up America.

Might not be screwing up America, but she is doing a nice job of screwing up her own life. Wow, she makes Britney Spears look stable!

Herbie: Fully Loaded can't be that bad. She's just a young actress, how can she do anything to screw up America? Sure, she tried that blonde thing, but she decided to go back to red before any riots broke out or anything.

She might not have any power, but she does promote a bad image for young girls who look up to her (everyone giving her a hard time about her body so she changed it to fit society's version of pretty)... So, while she's not screwing up America, she is screwing up some little girls (though she's not entirely to blame).

. . . wow, out of all the people this guy could have thought to put on his list of people who are screwing up America, I sincerely hope the author didn't seriously put Lindsay Lohan on the list. So what if she can't act? Is that really, honestly enough to get you on this sort of list? What power does she have that would make or break this country? Whho actually cares who she is or what she does? I fail to see how she's screwing up America to the extent to be singled out. A general thought regarding this topic: In a way, MANY people share partial blame in screwing up America. I've got my own ideas on who should be on this list. How about those lawmakers who accept gifts from companies to act in the best interest in the company rather than the constituents they are supposed to represent? How about the lawyers who represent frivolous cases so that the lazy and greedy can live happily ever after? How about all the people who didn't feel that it was all that important to VOTE? And complain about how things are run? How about those people who are too busy clawing out the eyes of the evil democrats/republicans (depending on which extreme they're on) to realize that they're not doing ANYTHING productive at all? Or how about ridiculous authors, who choose to blame society's ills on entertainers (if you're generous enough to call it that) that have no more weight in how this country is run than any other voter? Or is it just easier to point fingers rather than actually doing anything to improve things?

No, she's not screwing America, but I bet she wishes she was.
