 | irishgit (138) 05/23/2008 | Again, this is something that has been around forever, and will never be eradicated, as long as pitchers want to gain an edge. Be it something like a tack under a bandage, a bent rivet on the glove, a sharpened belt buckle, sharp fingernails, catcher's shin guard straps, etc, this will always happen. Like the spitball, its part of the game, and like the spitball it has a certain charm to people like me.

 | CanadaSucks (45) 07/25/2005 | Razor blades, thumbtacks, sandpaper, sharpened belt-buckles are just a few tools pitcher hide on themselves to scuff a ball to make it 'break' sharper. It is very entertaining when they get caught, but very illegal and should be punished.
