05/23/2008 | The problem with this (and its the same problem with the refrigerator ball) is how do you ensure that your team is getting these, and the other guys aren't. More a theory than an actual practice. And once again, the umpires in the Majors get the balls more than an hour before game time. They'll cool down.

07/25/2005 | According to legend, the Tigers and White Sox had a four-game series in 1965 where 18 home runs were hit. The balls were (allegedly) put in an oven and VIOLA! They jumped off the bats faster than Clinton could tap an intern!
