She is not a chef she is just a fake cook. A cook that uses boxed pasta and fries stuff! go figure... I swear, once she tried a pasta, and almost moaned! I was like what is she doing?? Should I change the channel now? so she moans when she tries out the foods. She just boils water, adds a bunch of salt, and cooks boxed pasta Barilla. She is just annoying because of her accent. S turns in to SH.

God, if I hear her say Mozarella one more time I swear I will scream. She is the most annoying cook on television. Give us more Mario or Paula please.....

She seems so fake! I cannot stand the way she butchers italian words. When she talking it sounds like a train wrecked into her huge smile. And the way they film it are they selling recipes or sex?

Anyone who has ever seen the movie "Woman On Top" can clearly see that Giada's show totally ripped off the premise of the movie. For those who have not seen the movie, Penelope Cruz plays a chef hired to do a cooking show where the cooking is secondary to dishing up the "host" as visual fodder. Substitute Brazilian cooking for Italian and you have the movie in a nutshell. Not surprising that the show went into production less than 2 years after the movies release. At least the character in the movie had a soul and cared about cooking. Giada is pure Hollywood suck-up, from her bleached teeth to her wonder bra. What makes it so annoying is the glamorization of mediocrity and constant feeding from the bowels of yuppydom. The only reason it has sustained is because of its orchestrated woody factor. The same idea helped kill country music, let's see if the producers kill the food channel as it moves from cooking to "food entertainment".

she grates on my nerves! the only real reason everyone thinks shes hot is because she dresses way too provocative for food channel. she always showing a ton of cleavage!

Giada is hot but there is no way she eats any of that high calorie food she cooks. She would be looking more like the Barefoot Contessa!

I wish there was zero stars. I hate how she sometimes uses an Italian accent and other times she won't. She is also ALWAYS smiling. Really, who cooks like that?

I had a few shows on the food network channel that I loved to watch. Good Eats, Paula's home cooking, Everday Italian, 30 minute meals, and Semi-homemade. I will still occasionally watch Good eats, but now that they have Alton Brown hosting and making appearances on so many spin-off shows I see a different un edited side of Alton Brown. prehaps he has gotten a big head, but he seems to be bitter, snobby, and a general rude know-it-all. then there was 30 min meals. I watched that show when Ray had the shorter darker hair and the pale skin, when she was reserved and to the point. then it seems like the producers evolved her into a loud, obnoxious tight clothes wearing broad with a joker face smile, high-lights, fake tan, and the obnoxious "EVOO" abbreaveation that she would use but quickly follow it up with explaining the abbreviation and defeating the purpose!! so I moved on to watching Everyday Italian. at first it was just nice to watch the show, but then I started to notice that the ... Giada sucks she is another manufactured fake chef, just like that windbag Rachel Ray, they completely adulterate the concept of cooking, and Giada knows nothing of Italian cuisine, all of th things he makes are faulty and lousy. The only reason she exists is because of her two freinds that all ways make their appearance with her, if it was not for the two of them she would be nothing. Cleavage is everything in a show. How can the same network but a genius like Mario Batali on the same channel. If you want "Every Day Italian" don't bother with her crap book, buy the Silver Spoon, that my friends is every day Italian, has been for more than 60 years. I wish I could give her no stars.

Absolutely oustanding show. Giada is a true professional. She is also a grogeous and erotic woman. The biotches that complain about her are just jealous they don't have her talent and her looks.

I hate the way she pronounces Italian words, sometimes then sometimes she doesn't. She is so damn phony. Terrible cook.

i swear to god, if i hear her say, "just like that" ONE MORE TIME on her show, i am going to through my friggin remote through the television. my roommates and i actually played a drinking game one night where we had to take a shot everytime she said, "just like that" and "right on top". we got pretty damn buzzed by the time it was over. other than that, i do like her show. but now that i've picked up on her repetitive phrases, it's harder to watch.

I love Giada!!  She makes great food and has such a beautiful soul that shines through her all the time.  I watched her bio that Food Network did about her and it just showed what a talented, hard working woman she is and how easy she makes it all look.

All I need to say is she's HOT! and a good cook and people need to remember she's not a professional chef.

Giada sucks, if she could really cook she wouldn't have to be half naked on her show to distact the viewers from the fact that she sucks and can't cook. Why can't she just cover herself up and cook?? Why are her boobs always hanging out? That just looks trashy for the food network!I strongly dislike her shows. But, hey, I don't like Rachel Ray either. She does look like a witch jimorama.

Giada is awesome. She's very down-to-earth, yea, she's pretty. She is a pleasure to watch, she makes recipes that any of us can make, and explains them very intelligently. She may have came from a priviliged background, but she grew up in a family that loved to cook and it shows by the way she shares her knowledge with us.

This chick sucks and she had total connections with her grandfather, Dino De Laurentiis. She practically exposes herself in her Chefography, where she says she was totally camera-shy and uncomfortable. Wanna bet there were better chefs out there with better personalities who didn't get a shot? I totally hate her fake smile and her Beverly Hills demeanor too, damn. She's one reason the Food Network is starting to go down in quality. What happened to the old one that wasn't yuppified?

Classy, simple, and elegant, the show is about foods inspired by an Italian background. The meals don't seem too outlandish to make at home, but is still stylish. I do notice that the camera seems to focus a lot on her as opposed to the food, but I appreciate that she's upbeat without being up the wall.

I watch Giada's show everyweek. Most of the time I like what she is cooking and find it easy to do in my own kitchen. So she is from a famous family and she's good looking? Who cares as long as what she prepares on T.V translates to me cooking at home. That is what it should be about

I love Giada's show. I think she's a great chef who has a good cooking technique. For some reason, I also like the production value of her show -- it's soothing and cheeful.

Giada is the granddaughter of film producer Dino De Laurentiis. Her mother was an Itallian actress. I found this out when someone was talking about the famous background of all the cooking people. All these people seem like they all have backgrounds like that. The ones on the This-Old-House-Type of show, the food shows and the house makeover shows. They have either previously been models or have a relative in the business. I remember one where she had a relative (I think her aunt). I think I could guess how it was set up. She told her that she was going to get her on TV and both were excited. But when Auntie arrived and this young kid that she continually had to teach not to burn things were now telling her what to do and on national TV. It seemed like there was some friction there but it might just be the dynamics of the family. Both seemed to pull it off well but her aunt seemed to be biting her tongue. She definitely a semi-babe or maybe in the actual babe status category, but sh... Read more

I like to watch Giada because she presents to you what she's going to make and then takes you step by step to make it. Everything is simple and mostly easy to prepare. She speaks the Italian words correctly and explains what they mean and even some history about the dishes. And she does it all so cheerfully! She would be fun to be have as a friend!
