Patty, it's brilliant moments like these that ensure your continued tenure in the government.

The Senator from Washington made a naive statement here. She makes it sound like bin Laden is a Western politician delivering goods to his constituents. Nothing could be further from the truth. Yes, he has built schools, but they don't teach their students how to build up their respective nations. These are nothing more than terrorist training camps who promote an agenda, not scholarship. Like most guerilla groups worldwide, al Qaeda was known for striking the fear of God into the people in order to control them rather than pursuing a more just society. That is their modus operandi. This is fed by anger and resentment, not by a feeling of benevolence or a willingness to help the general population.

This must be a misquote. I can't believe a U.S. Senator, regardless of her political affiliation, would be this ignorant.

He's been out in these countries for decades, building schools, building roads, building infrastructure, building day-care facilities, building health-care facilities, and these people are extremely grateful. Sure Patty, and let's not forget his record on women's rights.
