The National Football league is boring and the only good thing to come out of it is the excellent commentary team on Sega Sport's NFL2K series, Dan Stevens and Peter O'Keefe. The NFL should be severely reduced. In fact, let's make some new official leagues involving other Olympic and Olympic-sanctioned sports: Women's Soccer, Softball, Badminton, Field Hockey, and more.

Considering the monotony of Baseball and basketball really (not quite so much), I really like this idea too but know it would not be humanly possible. The fact that there is not 200 games per year makes it a better sport.

The players would have a career of one season.

Why do you think the NFL is so popular? Its a great game, its quick and exciting, and, maybe most of all, unlike the MLB, NHL and NBA, the season is short enough (as far as # of games go) that it keeps the fans excited all year round, and keeps the stars relatively healthy. If it was all year round, someone would probably die!

Off season bickering is half the fun.

People would get sick of it if it was year round. Nothing in excess. Plus the atheletes themselves wouldn't want to play all year.

i am sure my husband would love it. But for me NOOOOOO!Besides that what season is all about . I cannot imagine each sport all year round. when would they have play offs. each season has to be final so they can have a rest get new team members etc.

The NFL season is already too long because of those worthless damn preseason games. By the time the playoffs roll around, every player has some nick or injury. Before you start yelling 'THAT'S WHAT THEY'RE PAID FOR' consider that a roster full of injured players is a diminished product. . .I don't want to watch the backups in week 15, 16, or 17. Shorten the preseason by 2 games at least. But football is a seasonal game that begins labor day and ends after the Holiday season. . .I like the classic rythym and pace of the season.

The football fan in me says HELL YES, but I can't imagine how players could survive and I'd less to look forward to in the fall.

Absolutely not. Part of the pleasure of any sport is the speculation and anticipation that occurs in the off season.

Are you crazy?! That the NFL is seasonal is part of it's appeal. Football in summer just doesnt work either. Football is a rough Sport. No way people would play it if it was year round. Players need time to rest.
