Mediocre, at best, flick with an iron minotaur, a duckfoot witch, a gorilla with a solitary horn...saved only by Jane Seymour, one of the hotter 70's treats.

I always suspected Ray didn't get to take his time on this one. Many of the visual effects are either weird (the gaunt, gibbering pseudo-zombies in Raffi's tent) or badly filmed (the sabertooth's fur seemed to bristle in six different directions). LOVED the plot, though, with the whole idea of sailing to the North Pole to fix a cursed prince in a forgotten temple. Despite Patrick Wayne's Midwest-suburbanite portrayal (some say betrayal) of Sinbad (the earring was tres gauche), it had great chicks (a shapely Jane Seymour with those stylin' cornrow braids, and the Nordic blonde who played Dionni), lots of scenery-chewing, and wild backdrops and matte paintings. So many great moments (Miniton aboard the brass boat, Zenobia's seagull foot, Trog scaring the ladies out of the river, the giant walrus bursting out of the ice, the impaled wasp, etc.), you'll wonder why you ever turned it off.
