After the Lockout debacle, he was more Badenow than Goodenow. He did do some good for the players in the 1994 contract dispute, but totally misread the owners this time around.

One down, one to go. Now if Commissioner Gary Bettman leaves, that might generate some improvement in a mismanaged league.
