check your history - the israelis didn't "take" palestinian land, there were hundreds of thousands of jews who had emmigrated to the land peacefully before WWII even started. most didn't even want their own nation, they just wanted a chance to live somewhere in peace and prosperity. they didn't kick people off the land, in fact they provided jobs to thousands of arabs by converting arid desert into usable farmland and building modern cities in a backward region. however the surrounding muslim population refused to accept a jewish community and even through the 1930s (before Israel was founded) there was a state of open war between the two groups.
