Regardless of whether or not I believe in the ruling, the Supreme Court does not have the power, according the Constitution, to create policy for the country. Their job is to give rulings that follow exactly what the Constitution has laid out, even if that means they have to give a ruling they disagree with. Abortion should have been a state issue, but the Supreme Court overstepped their bounds and made a ruling they do not, by supreme law (the Constitution) have power to make.

Many on the left enjoy painting the pro-life movement as something caused by the radical religious right and can't be trusted. They ridicule the notion that unborn children have just as many rights to live as a baby seal does. They disdain the belief that abortion actually is a disservice to woman, as Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton proudly proclaimed. I'm a conservative for many reasons, and abortion is definitely one of the biggest. More over, the liberal response to my views only help to strengthen my conviction, not weaken it.

I wait for the day for a complete bouleversement and I remain optimistic that the day is not far off.

There is literally no constitutional justification for this ruling. Blackmon and his cohorts should have been impeached if our system of government worked the way it was created- but I digress. Liberals have succeeded in dissolving democracy through judicial precedents erected upon a competing standard of ethics. This is simply antithetical to the constitutional order as it was created. I personally am opposed to legalized abortion. I would strenuously argue for laws that protect the unborn through the legislative process- I would even argue for a constitutional amendment that extends the right to life to the unborn and incarcerates abortionists for murder. I do not however argue that jurists- upon some higher moral priciples- should find within the 'rights and privleges' clause of the 14th amendment an extra-constitutional protection for the unborn not intended by the framers of that amendment. That ruling that did so would simply be grounds for impeachment. However liberals due to their limited perspective of human freedom find the expansion of rights they favor and the dissolution of the constitutional order itself, justified- so long as it meets their ideological ends. This is the main reason why I am a conservative. I am a conservative because Natural Law priciples respect the order of nature first and foremost. The constitutional process itself is built upon a reflection of human nature and how we operate within our universe. Rights that protect that process are God Given not extended to us from government and power is limited to diffuse factionalism and its many evils.
