The food is plentiful and cheap, although it tends towards the "heart attack on a plate" style of cuisine, and they feature a large number of beers, not all of them good. Worth trying, but I wouldn't make a special trip.

The Mrs. beat me to ordering the Sweet and Sour spareribs with steamed rice (who was it that made it obligatory for ladies to order first?) and had to settle (?) for the Corned beef and cabbage, which was very nearly as good as anywhere East. Would have come back to taste the Old-Style German Sausage sandwich ($2.95), the bratwurst or the knockwurst but we had resolved to not repeat restaurants. Walking out I read: 'Home of the Buffalo Stew,' ($7.45) which caught my interest. Would attempt to put up a photo, but Ridge might have to steer me through that, and he knows what that entails.

The place looks like an old boom town brothel from the outside, and when you walk in, you definitely get the feeling that this place has been around for a while. Not a bad place to stop after catching a movie at the AMC Van Ness.
