 | Underspin (24) 01/04/2006 | If an individual who is white is critical of a specific issue, be it reparations, gangster rap, affirmative action, etc, s/he is certain to be labeled a racist, if not a white-supremacist altogether. Moreover, if an African-American is critical of the same type of issues, s/he is likely to be called "Uncle Tom," "House #@gger," or a number of other colorful names. You see, racial extremists have a pat label/answer for anyone who dares to disagree with them...labels that are designed to turn political opposition into something less than human. However, by submitting to this type of gutter-level discourse, these same extremists are all but admitting to the fact that on an intellectual level they cannot win this public debate, hence, they must bring emotional hysteria and name-calling into the mix. Sandbox stuff I know, but amazingly, all-too-often this sleazy strategy actually seems to work...however pathetic it may seem to ordinary thinking people.

OK Diane, now I'm convinced.
