 | Drummond (54) 12/21/2005 | It was okay, but Che in the stage versions was more of a Jimminy Cricket type character - an outsider. Trying to work him into the plot in defiance of history was playing to the lowest common denominator in intelligence and was a distraction anyway. Also found the song rewrites completely unnecessary. No complaints about Madonna's singing actually. But why do they always have Evita without an accent but Juan Peron with an accent? At least this time Che had an accent.

 | ma duron (62) 09/27/2005 | 'Evita' fails on too many levels to comment, including the 134 minutes in length, and Madonna's lack of involvement is predominant among them, so it could be said that director Alan Parker is to blame in that regard.

 | CanadaSucks (45) 08/01/2005 | Horrible, horrible, horrible. . .Madonna changed the story so that she could have more screen time. I hate musicals as much as I hate traffic jams. (I was forced to sit through this crap during a college date.) Worse, I had a professor that whistled (every day for 5 weeks) the theme from Evita. . .I desperately wanted to punch his face. . .Madonna's acting is only slightly less annoying that constant-whistlers. . .
