Almost breaks through to the level of being laughably bad, but misses by a hair.

Not a stinker, exactly, merely a project gone wrong from the get-go, includng having cast a reluctant and undisciplined Madonna. Penn was very agreeable.

Hollywood trash trying to capitalize on the the lead roles are a couple in real life that the studios foist upon us. . .only funny because this was Sean Penn in his reporter-attacking days. . .although being married to Madonna might make anyone irritable.
