 | Wavebacker (25) 08/02/2005 | Political biases ruin the Court. We have a pretty good legal system here in America. It has it's flaws, but it was designed well. The problem at the top is that these Supreme Court justices have clear and obvious leanings and there's soemthing wrong with that. The system should call for an unbiased perspective. Someone who can divorce personal feeling and opinions and decide on the facts. I just dont think that's the case here. Justices are promoted knowing that they can represent their own personal biases into their votes. This was the case in the Election of 2000 where I am sure their decision on the Election was politically motivated. They have an important job and make ruling that will last way past their time on the Court, yet I just dont sense a fair and impartial disposition. What's worse is that a biased President can appoint justices HE likes, which can tilt the balance of the Court.
