 | Gentle Jude (23) 08/27/2005 | If this is about whether I like coke or pepsi, of course I do and I drink it often! I've heard all the lectures about coke being bad for you and I simply think it is something that people get to uptight about. It is only unhealthy in large, regular quantities but even then, I've never heard of people dieing from an overdose of pepsi! Although people tell you it kills you over a long period. So does everything else like pies, chips, all take away, any soft drink, lollies and some go as far as to say that pasta is bad for you. That may be true but I want to enjoy my life and not live my life based on a fear of something that might happen. Overdoing it is bad, but you need a bit of enjoyment once in a while. With the coke and pepsi war, I don't really care, they both taste similar to me. They should become one company, that would solve everything!

 | Sundiszno (30) 08/06/2005 | In the days of yore, when I used to drink lots of sodas, I was a real Coke devotee, and drank Pepsi only very reluctantly (and very infrequently). I honestly did like the flavor of Coke more, but the thing that turned me off to Pepsi at a very early age (about five, if I recall) was an incident that my father was involved with. He was a doctor working at a city emergency clinc during the war, and one night a guy came in who was sick to his stomach (and who I think may have had his stomach pumped). The reason he was sick was because he had been drinking a bottle of cold Pepsi and had seen something solid floating around in the soda, but thought it was ice because the drink was cold. However, when the bottle was almost empty he got a good look at what it was, and it tuned out to be a dead cockroach. Sorry Pepsi drinkers, I just never had a desire to try the alternative to Coke. When I did, I never drank straight out of the can or bottle, but poured the drink into a glass to make sure there was nothing other than soda in the container.

 | Banshee (0) 08/04/2005 | Cola-flavoured carbonated sugar water Vs. Cola-flavoured carbonated sugar water. Like a choice between Twiddledee & Twiddledum.

 | Inmyopinion (10) 08/03/2005 | All cola is pretty bad for you, I drink them both on occasion because to me they both have that same great crips taste, but since I was a teenager with a face that always broke out, I have significantly cut down my consumption of pop as we call it here.

 | MissPackRat4Jesus (38) 08/03/2005 | Both are fine once in awhile, but I don't drink much of either of them these days. I'm really more into tea and water.

 | Wavebacker (25) 08/03/2005 | They're basicially the same, but Coke is a bigger Brand Name than Pepsi. Coca Cola is a great American product even if it is somewhat addictive and loaded with sugar. It taste great, mixes with many drinks, easy to mass produce and has a short shelf life once opened. Classic American product to sell to the masses.
