You want to see some government waste, corruption and inefficiency, wait 'til this guy gets to the Oval Office. Now you'll have a debacle on your hands. Let's put him in charge of our foreign policy, he's got a plan to have France help fund the War in Iraq!

 | zortan (7) 07/29/2004 | This project is up to 20 billion dollars. Ted Kennedy and John Kerry said it would cost two billion. The tax payers from all the other states are having to pay 18 billion dollars for Boston to have a park! I would like to know how much was contributed by construction company owners and union bosses to the Kerry campaign.

 | Jed1000 (72) 07/22/2004 | Kennedy and Kerry both supported the Big Dig but they aren't singlehandedly responsible for it. That would be giving them too much credit. Not to mention that it's hardly a debacle. That's only the list makers opinion. Expensive? Yes. A pain in the butt? Yes. But the largest public works project in this country since Hoover Dam is an unqualified success already. We got a beautiful new bridge, a third harbor tunnel, that green monster of an elevated highway right through downtown is being moved underground, and we're gaining new parks and open spaces in it's place. The city is already greatly improved and it's going to be even better once the new underground highways are running. It's been expensive and it's been a long time coming but we're very happy with the results.
