 | abichara (60) 10/13/2004 | The beauty of our system is that it transcends any one man. Checks and balances usually prevent egregious abuses on the part of the government. Of course our government was founded on a set of liberal ideals. George Washington personified such an approach, rather than become a permanent regent, he decided to give up the Presidency after 2 terms. He knew that any imperial pretentions would doom the young nation. He knew that the cult of personality had a corrosive effect on our institutions and he decided to subserviate his ego for the greater good. That said, I don't think Kerry could possibly do so much damage. Even if he's elected, there's little room for damage. By the looks of it, I foresee that Kerry will run a reasonably competent administration--certainly none of us will agree with his agenda, but he's not someone who will destroy our government. We can make these comments in the heat of a campaign, but really...

 | AryanDan (2) 09/11/2004 | Either candidate will do this, right now it's Bush's turn to nail the coffin shut, maybe Kerry will get a chance to hammer away. Who cares who wins? It's time to disband both parties! Review this... http://www.rateitall.com/i-101355-disband-the-democratic-and-republican-parties.aspx

 | CanadaSucks (45) 09/09/2004 | Please. Bush and his f#$$ing policies have all but insured that every muslim-extremist in the world now feels like the U.S. has to be attacked. Kerry might actually save lives- with Bush, either more soldiers die or put us in graver danger. Who are you people that actually think we are safer with Bush?

 | ASnSC (0) 09/02/2004 | You can't lead America to where it all ready is. Kerry is the best choice we have to pull the country back from the brink of bankruptcy and neo-fascism.

 | louiethe20th (74) 07/22/2004 | Axl it is going to feel alot worse when we have to deal with all of these problems, plus have alot less money in our pockets.Kerry is not going to be the fix-all to these issues, he will put more pressure on our citizens by taxing them to death. It will also strangle our economy into submission.

 | Emilia Fulci (0) 07/22/2004 | He wants (rather, the corporations and interest groups backing him want) to go harder on Cuba and (the oil-rich nation of) Venezuela, whilst strengthening ties with Israel. I'm still not sure whether this will be worse than another four years of Bush, though.
