 | fitman (36) 11/28/2007 | I suspect we're meant to be focusing our displeasure with government on George W. Bush (or Hillary Clinton) as we're being fleeced, but I'll continue to hold my nose and vote Democrat as long as God's Own Party continues to oppose virtually all programs that benefit working people and the poor.

 | louiethe20th (73) 11/27/2007 | Not very Conservative at all! The only thing Conservative about Bush was his Supreme Court selections, which was a good thing, and his tax codes.

 | oscargamblesfro (76) 11/26/2007 | The reviewer below me said Doofus Primus, but I'd call him Disastrous Maximus- so if you voted for him either time, and especially the second time-don't cry foul when we feel the effects and see the ripples of this utter catastrophe for years and years.

 | chrisfrenzy (1) 07/05/2006 | Let's see: Conservatives are anti-big government and government spending. Bush has grown the largest government we've ever had and run us further into debt. Conservatives want government out of people's lives. Bush spies on American citizens, jails people without due process, and wants to pass the first ammendment ever to make the Constitution more discriminatory. By lashing out at a harmless Spanish version of the National Anthem, Bush proved himself to be an enemy of freedom. He and his neo con cronies have destroyed America's standing in the world, lied their way into a profitable but unwinnable war, trampled human rights, the environment, education, true Christian values, and the American way. History will show that not only is "W" the most destructive president we've ever had, but that he is a lousy conservative, and quite possibly devoid of any human qualities at all.

 | X Factor Z (13) 06/09/2006 | Before the 1st Bush come along, George Sr. I was a die hard Republican, now I would rather eat dog doodie than vote for a Republican or any conservsative, I find most of them to be just si stupid...thanks to the Bushes for opening up my eyes!!!

 | SZinHonshu (44) 09/26/2005 | Not much of a conservative other than he is pro-BIG business. His tax cuts have been too small and his devotion to limited government is non-existent. W is better than what the Dems have to offer (that kinda goes w/out saying) but he is largely a RINO.

 | numbah16tdhaha (147) 09/26/2005 | No Reagan, for sure, but in this era, when the Dems can offer nothing of substance, I'm sold.

 | James76255 (17) 08/13/2005 | What is there to say about President George W. Bush, pro or con, that hasn't been said ten times over on this site? I don't think there is anything. I will knock off one star since I do agree he is not a true Conservative, but that would apply to me as well.
I will say I like the fact he is getting tired of playing the games with the media, and dealing with it in a humorous way. Just before announcing Roberts as the Supreme Court nominee, he rattled off this quote when a reporter was trying to dig in and get a hint about who the nominee might be.
I'm trying to think of something to say that will sound profound, but not answer your question.

 | EschewObfuscation (61) 08/09/2005 | Well, he's a three to me. Not a true conservative, but don't count me as having left the reservation. Over a weakling like Kerry , Bush is the guy. I'd like to see him reward the conservatives who elected him but, given the democrats who are obstructing his every initiative, I trust his judgment over theirs, although I'd prefer to see a conservative proposed for the Supreme Court, rather than someone nobody knows anything about except that he's a really, really smart lawyer. Anyway, conservatives deserve to have him repay them for his re-election.

 | Major04 (2) 08/07/2005 | He is without a doubt the best President since Reagan. He says what he thinks and then does it. He respects the office of the President, the American people, and the Constituation.

 | CanadaSucks (45) 08/06/2005 | Some conservative. . .he spends money like a sailor in a whorehouse. . .except that dubya has a habit of ducking real combat and letting others take the hit. The biggest p#ssy, liar, and fraud I've seen in politics in any major nation in a long time. I'd list the logical reasons, but dubya lovers hate logic, reason, and inquiry with the passion of a medieval crusader. Enough of your poor kids die yet in the wrong desert?. . .or are you thirsty for more?

 | Mr.Political (18) 08/06/2005 | Of all the names I have seen thrown at President Bush in the attempts to belittle him, none have been more ludicrous than that of lame duck. In the aftermath of September 11th, the president could have easily given a few patriotic speeches and told the State Department to go on with business as usual. He could have sent a stern letter to the United Nations and waited for their instructions on what to do. President Bush realized, however, that the villians who attacked us on 9/11 couldn't care less if we were Democrats or Republicans...the only thing that mattered was that we were Americans. I will acknowledge that prior to that tragic day I was not the most ardent Bush supporter, but I realized that the enemy we face today is unlike any we have faced before and we need a leader who couldn't care less if you think he's the worst president ever or if you donated hundreds of thousands to the GOP. I know war is not the best option & I know it's not the only option. But to those who view the president as only a foolish warmonger, I ask: what would you have preferred us to do? How many more thousands upon thousands would have to die before we realized that paper and resolutions would not deter the likes of not only Osama bin Laden, but those who wish to eliminate democracy. This is the reason that I support President Bush and his policies because at the end of the day, I not only feel that he's a notable conservative...but also a notable human being.
