 | odbtx (9) 11/30/2005 | I used to tthink Dennis Miller was funny and smart. I often disagreed with him, but he demonstrated sharp reasoning and intellect and was the kind of guy who could make you question your own beliefs. I'm not really sure what happened to him, but now he just seems to be going through the motions. Once a heavyweight, now lighter than air. I feel sorry for him.

 | edt4 (99) 11/29/2005 | Miller was never a "staunch" liberal, although he has become a "staunch" conservative. Miller also used to be funny, something he seems to be having trouble with lately.

 | Drummond (54) 11/29/2005 | He was never a hard core lib actually. He voted for Perot in 1992.
But he used to be happier. I watch him of late, and he just doesn't seem to be enjoying himself anymore. Same with Chris Hitchens.
It's depressing to watch.

 | EschewObfuscation (61) 11/29/2005 | Former staunch liberal, who went along with the party line for a long, long time. Until 9/11/01. He suddenly realized his own conservative leanings, listening to his (former) comrades scream and wail about how Bush was doing everything wrong, we should try to talk to the terrorists, it's our fault anyway, blah, blah, blah.
Give him credit, he turned his rapier wit on those who depended on him to skewer everything conservative as he had for years, as had much of the American and British press, as had Hollywood, in general. You can't blame them for feeling betrayed by him. He's very clever, and sarcastic enough to turn someone arguing against him into knots. Conservatives have not supported him, for all the good he has done them, and that's a shame.

 | musebydefault (0) 08/30/2005 | I'm waiting as a fellow anti-political boxist with other X-generationees to offer my perception of the current society, which- as all of you loud ass media sorts seem to orgasm touting, is in dissarray.
THANKS

Dennis Miller and Chris Hicthens, along with Thomas Friedman and Oprah Winfrey, are a few of voices I'll pause to listen to. This hippie/love child generation of Mary Tyler Moore worshipping, PC frontal conversationalist, but backdoor artisticly inclined sadists which distribute most of lifes propaganda called media *thing* has left the younger generation X screwed.
But voices like Millers help me feel some level of unity with others who understand that honor is the most golden of all attributes.
