10/24/2005 | I am an ex-free trader. It is absolutely devastating to American jobs. I hate to say that Ross Perot was right in the "giant sucking sound." He didn't see far enough for now the giant sucking sound has sucked the jobs out of Mexico and into Red China.
Free trade is sucking out our life blood and impoverishing our people. Is everyone going to work for Wal-Mart eventually, selling Chinese junk to each other?

08/08/2005 | I'm all for free trade. The concept that jobs are a zero sum game simply doesn't hold up under examination and the protection of jobs in high paced advanced economies only retards growth and increases the price of goods. The only reservation I have with free trade is monstrous subsidies in huge industrialized nation that simply don't level the playing field or advance better products at lower costs but susidizes an inferior product.
